Camp Carter International Karate Association
Camp Carter International Karate Association is a community of committed and positive martial arts instructors and students who are striving to improve the physical, mental and social aspects of their lives. We work together to help everyone achieve their goals and become the best they are capable of becoming.
Those who choose to train at Camp Carter International Karate Association have a desire to achieve a high standard of excellence in all aspects of their lives and are willing to commit to constant improvement.
Our martial arts instructors work to further develop this desire to improve in our students by getting them to set personal goals so their motivation to excel comes from within. To us, this is truly the best form of leadership.
We are black belt martial artists who stand tall and live strong. That's what sets us -- and our students -- apart from the crowd.

Character Education: The Be Your Best Program
Here is the structure of this program:
I. Introduction day
As a guest gym teacher or a guest speaker in the classroom, we work with the assigned grade levels to create interest among the children. We talk about the following:
How to be a good listener and show respect for the teachers
You are what you sound like -- confidence in the classroom
Dealing with a bully -- using verbal defense tactics to deal with confrontation
II. After school program (taught at your school)
One or Two classes a week, after school
Classes focus on respect, discipline and focus skills. Parents contribute $10 to $25 for a four week program -- the cost is up to you. Fifty percent of the fee is donated to your school.
We volunteer our time for the entire program and donate supplies.
Kids have homework assignments that are discipline and character related.
Verbal Self Defense
Our Verbal Self Defense program provides children and adults with tools which help resolve conflicts by controlling their responses and using specific word blocks. This same program is used by police officers across the country to de-escalate potentially dangerous situations. Our staff has participated in the same training program slightly adapted to make the messages applicable to children. The program is modifiable for all age levels, group sizes and time frames.Meet Our Team!
